Introduction to Blues Workshop
This Blues workshop is suitable for anyone who likes the idea of Blues dancing but doesn't necessarily know how to get into that world...
There are very few teachers better equipped than CJ to progress you forward from learning the moves to dancing, to the music, with your partner, with style, with skill, with attitude...

The workshop will explore the similarities and differences between Modern Jive and Blues and explore the ways of using your existing skills to progress into the world of Blues.

During the 4 hour session you will become familiar with the notions and concepts of Blues in terms of:

* Attitude
* Blues holds
* Connection
* Confidence
* New moves
* Tempo
* Performance
* Style and Finesse

By creating a safe and comfortable environment to experiment, you can explore aspects of close dancing that you may previously have found difficulty with. This workshop will present you with the insights to establish a connection with your partner and take your dancing to another level.

The workshop will be structured to include both fixed and mixed partners, so if you want to dance exclusively with your own partner, that's fine.

You may be heading for a dance weekender, or you may simply enjoy dancing musically to slower, sexy music, or you may want to improve the connection between you and your partner - whatever your reasons, this workshop will certainly help.

When?

Sunday 27th July from 2pm until 6pm

Where?

Buckden Village Hall, Burberry Rd, Buckden, Nr St Neots PE19 5UY

How Much?

Places must be booked in advance and this 4 hour workshop will cost £25 per person.

Dance Parties

This is the time of year when thoughts turn from summer holidays into party season.

Whether it is for a Christmas gathering, Special birthday or just a good excuse to get your friends together - why not give some thought to a Dance Party.

You want to get all your friends together and celebrate your occasion doing the things you love best.  And let's face it - once you've started dancing Modern Jive, you want a party where the DJ understands your needs and plays all those tracks you just love to dance to.

Our parties can be tailored to include a short easy lesson, to encourage all your non-dancing friends to take part.  Or can include an ice-breaker routine, to get everyone mixing and on the dance-floor.  Or we can forget the lesson and get on with playing music to keep the dance-floor full all night!

It's your party - you decide.

You have favourite tracks you love to dance to?  Let us know what they are and we're sure to play them!

So whether you are organising a surprise for a loved one, have been elected to sort out the office party or just feel the need to party - contact us and see what we can do.

Personal workshop and Private Lesson Testimonials

"Both Trevor & I thought the Personal Workshop was FANTASTIC, and well worth the money.

I liked the fact there was a set agenda, but that we could also request our own moves as well.

We felt that we got a lot done & I was absolutely knackered at the end of it.

I thought your studio was lovely - brilliant with the floor & mirrors.

And the follow-up notes were indispensable".

 Jive Wedding Dance

"We would like to give a massive thank you to the guys at Jive Nites for helping us with our wedding dance.

We joined around 6 months ago and after a while asked Andy to choreograph a wedding dance just for us. At our first practice it was a step into the unknown and I wondered if I would ever remember the dance.

However after a few practices and some very helpful hints from Sarah and Andy all went well.

The reaction from our guests was everything we were aiming for and we could not have done it with out your help. Not only was the first dance a hit but I had a lot of confidence on the dance floor for the rest of the night because of the Sunday night practices.

I would thoroughly recommend all you men who want to wow the ladies on the dance floor and any couples who need that first dance to be special to come to Jive Nites and give it that x factor, you will not be disappointed."
